You know we have come to a bad place when MM commercials have become sexual. Honestly, isn’t anything sacred anymore. Now candy is involved! The Olympics have been a refreshing family TV event but somehow “sexy” Miss Green had to mess it all up. I am exhausted with TV, media… & our twisted culture!

I totally agree… I call it like I see it a world that is in a “mediatic frenzy”! We turned off our direct TV!! We did! Isn’t that a radical thing. I thought I would miss it, but I don’t. We are using the money to do things together, to have more Play Dates… (see my profile and my fun Play Date with my husband on sunday) I don’t think though, that we should stop “Talking It Up”! I do sense that the Lord wants us, to start being more verbal, to share with each other more, to Talk Up The Truth More because this is what will settle us, bring a sense of balance to our topsy-turvey world that is so enthralled within a “mediatic frenzy”…. The true reality is that we need to know God more and communicate His life more, it should be a natural part of our life.. Talk It Up and Glowing His Glory, being Glory dusters… see my blog today: http://www.kimberlymac.blogspot.com! Love ya… Keep talking it up!
Oh My Gosh!!!! I want to laugh, but I agree that this is contributing to the desensitization of our society!!! Who thinks of this stuff?!?!
*still laughing unfortunately!*
From one Lisa to another…I share in your exhaustion for this crazy (and sick and twisted) media world we live in! The evil one’s fingerprints are all over it, aren’t they?
I am stopping by for the very first time, as my friend, Laura Davis (Bethany Kush’s sister in law) sent me here. I can already see we have things in common, so I’ll have to stop by, again…the same name, the same NICKNAME (used to be called “weezie” by some!), and a love for Facebook. Or should I say, Crackbook? My hubby likes to say that he already has more friends than I do and he has been on Facebook for only about a week to my several years! But when he taunts me with his “numbers,” I merely tell him that I have been much too busy serving God to be collecting friends on Facebook. That tends to shut him up fast!
Anyway…would love to “chat” more in the future. Stop by and visit me at my blog sometime — lwhittle@blogspot.com.
Blessings, Weezie!
Lisa
Just wanted to say that I have been here Lisa. Nita
